Flea beetle work supplemented by a Genome Ab grant!

Our ongoing project funded by the Canola Agronomic Research Program was just supplemented by a Genome Alberta, “Genomics Data Connect” grant! This will allow us to pair our environmental physiology work with some exciting ‘omics and RNAi-pesticide development work.

Welcome new postdoc Zach Balzer, who will be leading the bioinformatics side of the project. Zach comes to us from Western University, where he completed his PhD on the genomics of invasive mountain pine beetles.
