PhD Student (co-supervised with Dr. Caroline Williams UC Berkeley)

I am a molecular physiologist interested in how sub-cellular processes are coordinated to drive interesting organismal level phenotypes. I graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in Molecular and Cellular Biology and this was also where I fell in love with crickets and insect physiology working with the Williams lab. As a PhD student, I am interested in the phenomenon of flight muscle histolysis in Gryllus crickets. From upstream regulation, to what may be driving the breakdown, and how they deal with the aftermath are all questions I am currently exploring. Outside of the lab, I love cooking, baking, and hanging out with my cats.
