Reid MacMurchy
BIOL 530 Student
My name is Reid MacMurchy, I am a fourth-year undergraduate student in the department of biological sciences. I will be working with the Lebenzon Lab to complete my honours thesis in the fall and winter semesters, hoping to learn as much as possible during the experience. My main research interest is mitochondrial physiology and its link to metabolic suppression in diapausing Colorado potato beetles. As of September 12th, I will have written my MCAT in hopes of pursing a career in rural medicine once I complete my undergraduate degree. In my free time you can probably find me in the mountains hiking or in my room rewatching the Star Wars movies…again. In the lab I look forward to learning experimental methodologies, how to conduct research, and being apart of a team with similar interests.
