Alexandra Dvorak
CMMB528 Thesis Student
My name is Alexandra Dvorak and I am an undergraduate student studying Cellular, Molecular, and Microbial Biology at the University of Calgary. I am most interested in genetics, molecular pathways, and ferroptosis! Hence, in the Lebenzon lab, I am so excited to use RNAi to knockdown a gene called ferritin and monitor the effects it has on ferroptosis in diapausing Colorado potato beetles. Outside of the lab, I love enjoying the outdoors, going to the gym, riding my bike, and letting my creative side shine through with arts and crafts!
